The caves of the Eagle are placed in Ramacastañas, to 9 km from San's Pedro Sands, in the valley of the Tiétar, to the south of the province of Avila, autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain under the hill of "Romperropas" in the Saw of the Eagle.
The temperature in the interior is constant all the year round, having an average of 20 degrees Celsius. This fact led to his discovery in 1963 for a group of children who saw water steam went out for a hole in the land caused by the difference of temperature of the caves with the exterior.
